National Parks Free Day Jan. 15-17!
Folks, the National Park Service (our Department of Interior siblings) has just announced their calendar of 2011 Free Entrance Days

Of course, for many USGS scientists, "heading in for work" often means heading up to a National Park or National Seashore -- or even just stepping out from their front porch! The Western Ecological Research Center has several teams of scientists stationed at or near these popular natural history heritage sites, studying their unique ecosystems and organisms:

Which one will you head to this weekend?
